Welcome Home Raquel and Anna

On Saturday my sister is moving home to the United States from London where she has lived for the last 15 years. She won't be alone as her wonderful wife Anna will be with her. Their ability to come to this country is the direct result of the US Supreme Court's decision to recognize their love as the equivalent of any straight couple. A lot of people talk about politics on here and other places. The debates rage and range from the economy to foreign policy to guns to racially inequality to marriage equality and gay rights. When people ask me who I'm going to vote for or why I'm going to vote a particular way it frankly has nothing to do with the economy. I vote for the candidate and the party that supports equality and inclusion not hate and separation. I'm going to get to live in the same city as my sister for the first time in 15 years and that is the result of love and inclusion. Its one of the principles this country was founded on and it's bringing my sister and her wife home. And one last thought it's connected us to Anna's amazing family in London who I know will miss her and I hope they know how much we love her and can relate to being so far away. There's always a place for them here as they have made us so welcome in their homes for the last 15 years.
